RxSense Adds Hy-Vee as Newest Client of Industry-Leading RxAgile Enterprise Platform

Leading Midwestern Grocer Taps Transformative RxAgile to Provide Efficient Pharmacy Benefits Solutions and Power Prescriptions Savings for New Subsidiary Vivid Clear Rx

RxSense, the healthcare technology company improving transparency and access to affordable medications, today announced it will power enterprise solutions for pharmacy benefits administration to Vivid Clear Rx, a subsidiary of Hy-Vee, Inc. Hy-Vee is one of the nation’s leading grocery chains with more than 275 stores spanning eight states across the Midwest. With sales of more than $11 billion annually, Hy-Vee ranks among the top 25 supermarket chains and the top 50 private companies in the United States.

Seeking a modern, cloud-based enterprise platform to provide flexible and efficient solutions, Vivid Clear Rx selected RxSense’s industry-leading RxAgile enterprise technology to launch its own private-label pharmacy benefits manager. RxSense is providing Vivid Clear Rx with a full-service suite of modules for pharmacy benefit management that will supplement assets that Hy-Vee already owns and operates. Vivid Clear Rx will also leverage this partnership to merchandise its own private-label pharmacy benefit solutions to regional businesses in the marketplace they serve.

RxSense’s analytics product RxIQ will provide Vivid Clear Rx with real-time health plan performance insights as well. RxIQ offers clients customizable dashboards offering deeper plan insights; financial, operational and clinical action alerts; and the ability to effortlessly sort and evaluate data by claim type, pharmacy or geography.

“We are pleased to partner with Hy-Vee to provide them with RxAgile, our leading-edge enterprise platform for pharmacy benefits, which will power their newly formed Vivid Clear Rx subsidiary,” said RxSense founder and CEO Rick Bates. “Hy-Vee’s adoption of our modern platform reflects their progressive approach to managing their own prescription drug program and the tremendous value they see in our innovative self-service solutions that offer efficiency, transparency and the best-in-industry reporting and analytics engine.”

“We are very excited to offer services in partnership with RxSense, as we know their data platform will help businesses, including Hy-Vee, make even better decisions when it comes to employee benefits and pharmacy spending,” said Mike Agostino, senior vice president for pharmacy business development at Hy-Vee and president of Vivid Clear Rx. “We look forward to helping Hy-Vee and many other employers around the country gain better insights into their pharmacy benefits spending as well as bring greater value to their health care programs.”
